Today in Cannes the photocall of Gran Turismothe new Sony Pictures film directed by Neill Blomkamp. The film, based on the famous racing game saga, is inspired by the true story of a young gamer Gran Turismo, Jann Mardenborough, who, by winning a series of competitive video game races, manages to become a professional driver in reality. In the cast besides David Harbour (Stranger Things) e Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings), Archie Madekwe (Les Miserables) in the title role, Darren Barnet (I never…), Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) e Geri Halliwell-Horner (Spice Girls – The Movie). Gran Turismo from September 20 will be only in cinemas produced by Sony Pictures and distributed by Eagle Pictures.

Gran Turismo, the plot

Inspired by a true story, the film tells the fulfillment of the dream of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo player, who thanks to his gaming skills wins a series of Nissan competitions to become a professional driver.
