He arrives on first tv on Sky the compelling The Woman King, Monday 29 May at 21.15 on Sky Cinema Uno (and at 21.45 on Sky Cinema Adventure), streaming on NOW and available on demand.

Emblem of female empowerment in its purest form, this film tells the story of the legendary Agojie warriors. With direction and an incredible female cast, the film is directed Gina Prince-Bythewood (nominated for BAFTA 2023 for Best Director) and stars the Academy Award winner Viola Davis as warrior Nanisca, for which she received Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations.

The Woman King is the extraordinary story of the Agojie, a group of all-female warriors who protected the African kingdom of Dahomey in the 19th century with a skill and ferocity never seen in the world. The Woman King follows the epic and emotional journey of General Nanisca (Academy Award winner Viola Davis) as he trains the next generation of recruits and prepares them for battle against an enemy determined to destroy their way of life. And, on the occasion of the premiere of the film The Woman King and that of The Adventures of Errol FLynntaken from the book “Beam Ends” by Flynn himself (premiere on Sunday 28 May at 9.15 pm on Sky Cinema Uno and at 11.15 pm on Sky Cinema Collection – Adventure), from Monday 22 to Wednesday 31 May on Sky Cinema Collection (channel 303) comes on Sky Cinema Adventure, a selection of the best adventure films with over 70 titles: a real concentrate of extraordinary emotions, alongside travellers, fantastic heroes and modern and past valiant men.
