Tom Holland talks the conditions for Spider-Man 4 and the desire to have Miles Morales in live-action
During the press tour of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland has heavily hinted that his time as Peter Parker may have come to an end, although there is much talk of Spiderman 4 and Holland’s involvement. Something has evidently changed since then, however, and the actor seems much more open to the idea of playing the character again.
In recent months, we have heard that i Marvel Studios they want Holland’s Spider-Man to be the main character of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty And Amy Pascal of Sony Pictures has confirmed that the talks on Spider-Man 4 are underway.
Talking with reverseHolland answered some questions about what a Spider-Man 4 would mean for him and what he would like his role to be for a live action with Miles Morales: “Whether it will happen or not, who knows?” “But right now it looks pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.” However, he added: “If we can’t find a way to compete with the third one, the film won’t be made.” We’re guessing Spider-Man 4 will eventually happen, but the ongoing WGA strike has clearly slowed the process (we can’t imagine the movie hitting theaters before 2025 at the earliest).
As for what we might see in the sequel of Spider-Man: No Way HomeHolland said: “I would be honored to bring Miles Morales into the world of live action. How it could be done I don’t know, but in case, I would jump at the chance.”
Rumors continue to circulate that Miles is Peter’s neighbor in Spiderman 4, with this upcoming trilogy dedicated to the hero passing the mantle to his successor in the Ultimate Universe. This choice could still make sense and should allow a Tom Holland to leave the role so that another young actor can pick up where he left off.
